A smile is one of our most effective ways to communicate. The cliche, “smile and the world smiles with you” is really true! People just naturally prefer to be around other people who are happy – and a toothy smile is a sure indicator of someone’s mood. Smiles radiate happiness and are very contagious. So, smile and make the world a happier place!

However, not everyone is pleased with their smile. Nearly 80 percent of all adults demonstrate some aesthetic compromise in their smile. A chip or crack, old dental restorations, discolorations, or misalignment all can distract from an attractive smile.

Modern dentistry offers a wide variety of treatments that can address these smile deficiencies. From porcelain veneers to cosmetic whitening, the sparkling, healthy smile you’ve always wanted is within your reach, often in just one visit!

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry requires deliberate, precise technique and the highest level of quality control. At Fairlington Dental, we can deliver on the promise of a brighter, healthier smile because we continually update our training, technology and equipment.

Among our state-of-the art technology is the replacement of the traditional x-ray with digital radiography, which greatly lessens patient exposure to radiation.

We also use an intraoral camera to take photographs inside your mouth. Often a tooth will not start bothering a patient until there is a significant loss of tooth structure. This new camera is an excellent way to detect dental problems early, allowing restoration before pain or tooth loss occurs.

And our sterilization processes are of hospital level quality. Using the latest in sterilization equipment and procedures, we can verify and document actual exposure treatments and time, thereby ensuring optimal protection for our patients from bacterial and viral infections.

At Fairlington Dental, we strive to give our patients the best care and the most up-to-date techniques – all provided in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Although Fairlington Dental specializes in cosmetic dentistry, our practice provides total dental health care for you and your family. Without basic care, the wonders of cosmetic dentistry would not be possible. Healthy teeth, gums and mouth are essential before cosmetic treatments can begin. Early diagnosis of the initial dental problem allows for the most conservative and least invasive procedures.

TMJ/Orthodontics

Our office is skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of TMJ disorders and orthodontics. TMJ stands for “tempromandibular joint” which is the jaw joint. Patients with TMJ disorders may experience headaches, earaches, neck and back pain, clicking in the jaw, sensitive teeth, or grinding of the teeth. The treatment for TMJ disorders begins with proper diagnosis, and may include splints, physical therapy, chiropractics, orthodontics or restorative dentistry.

Orthodontics is the straightening of teeth using appliances, with or without wires. Our office focuses on functional jaw orthopedics, which is properly aligning the jawbones prior to the straightening the teeth. The International Association certifies both Dr. Brown and Dr. Rogers for Orthodontics.

Invisalign

Invisalign clear braces are a great way to improve the long term health of your teeth without anyone knowing or without metal braces. Crowded teeth are harder to clean and floss around which can lead to plaque buildup, bone loss, bleeding gums and in worst cases, tooth loss.

In addition, Invisalign works to correct traumatic occlusion, when your teeth are not lined up and constantly pound each other during everyday use and wear.
